The best way to get a precise size is to visit one of our showrooms in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane or Perth. You can also book a virtual consultation for guidance from one of our jewellers. They will measure your finger properly and confirm the fit that feels comfortable and secure.

Before You Measure at Home

A few things can change the result.

• Your dominant hand is usually slightly larger
• Fingers swell and shrink through the day
• Warm hands give a more accurate reading
• Larger knuckles may need a measurement that sits between two sizes

Measure at the end of the day when your hands are warm and relaxed. If your knuckle is more prominent, take two measurements and choose the middle point.

Four Ways to Measure at Home

1. Using an Existing Ring

If you already have a ring that fits the correct finger, this is very helpful.

Bring the ring to your appointment or trace the inside circle on a piece of paper for a virtual consult. If you live outside a major city we can still work out the right size from these details.

If you are measuring for a surprise, borrow one of your partner’s rings. If you are concerned they will notice, trace the inside of the ring and return it quickly. This helps us estimate the inner diameter.

Tip: When choosing an engagement ring, use a ring your partner wears on their middle finger and expect to size down a little.

2. Using a Piece of String

Cut a narrow strip of paper or use a piece of string. Wrap it around the base of your finger and mark the point where the ends meet. Lay it flat against a ruler to measure the length. This gives you the circumference which can be matched to the Australian ring size chart.

3. Converting an International Size

Ring sizes vary around the world. Australia uses a letter based system. If you know your size from another region, use a conversion chart to find the Australian match.

If your ring arrives and the fit is not perfect, we offer one complimentary resize within the first twelve months. Visit our showroom and our team will take care of it. If you cannot come in person, contact us and we will guide you through the postage process.

Keeping a proposal a surprise can be a challenge but there are simple ways to find the right size without giving anything away.

• Ask a friend to take them browsing and report back
• Borrow a ring they will not miss for long
• Trace the inside of their ring on paper
• Compare their fingers to yours for a rough estimate
• Ask them directly if they already expect a proposal
